Relationship Therapy Group
We are social beings. Whether we are in a
relationship or not, relationships are of central importance to us. The ability
to develop healthy and harmonious relationships is a key aspect to our sense of
well-being. Our experiences in earlier relationships can affect how we
experience others. These experiences can affect our expectations, our
perceptions and our reactions. One focus of this group will be making these
links to the past, to the present and working to understand these connections.
It is by doing this work that one can work through some of these difficulties in
order to find more freedom to interact with others, to be able to make healthy
choices, rather than be compelled to repeat the same old patterns.
This group is intended to be a long term, ongoing therapy group focused on
problems in relationships. Participation will be limited to between 6 to 8
members. Tentative start date is in early September, however, that will depend
on finding participants who seem likely to work well together.
